Moez Toumi brings "Al Kahramana: El Mkhabbel fi Kobba" to the Théâtre Romain de Carthage
Tunisian playwright and performer Moez Toumi stages his one-man show *Al Kahramana: El Mkhabbel fi Kobba* — the sole theatre production of the 60th Festival International de Carthage — at the Théâtre Romain de Carthage on Sunday 26 July at 22:00.

The production is a monodrama — written and performed entirely by Toumi — in which he inhabits the character of a strong-willed older woman, a figure rooted in Tunisian collective memory, who delivers a sustained monologue touching on political shifts of the past decade, post-lockdown social change, rising living costs, social isolation and the situation of the elderly. Toumi builds the performance around a direct relationship with the audience, with each night shaped in part by the crowd in the house.
It is the only theatre production on the programme of this edition of the festival, which otherwise features concerts by Cheb Khaled (18 July), Saber Rebaï (16 July) and Sami Youssef (1 August).
Tickets are priced at 40 TND for gradins (terraced seating) and 80 TND for chaises (reserved chairs). Tickets are available online via Teskerti.
