Mortadha Ftiti takes the stage at the Théâtre Romain de Dougga on Sunday 12 July at 22:00, the third concert night of the 50th Festival International de Dougga, which runs across ten sessions between 10 and 25 July.
The Roman theatre sits within the ancient city of Dougga near Téboursouk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Béja governorate of north-west Tunisia. The open-air stone stage, set against the hills of the Medjerda valley, is one of the most intact Roman theatres in North Africa.
Ftiti is one of seven Tunisian acts on this year's programme, which also includes Shayma Helali, Raouf Maher and Lotfi Bouchnak alongside three Egyptian performers. No set-list or specific repertoire has been announced for his concert.
