PadelFest returns to Hammamet for a nine-day 2nd edition with World Cup fan zone and lifestyle programme

Tunisia's padel festival returns to Golf Yasmine Hammamet for a second edition on Wednesday 11 July, running through to Saturday 19 July 2026, with a programme that stretches well beyond the courts into food, music and live sport screenings.
The nine-day event, PadelFest, is billed by its organisers as a "sport and lifestyle" festival open to competitive players, families and summer visitors alike, according to La Presse de Tunisie and Entreprises Magazine, which both reported the announcement on Monday 30 June.
At its core is a padel tournament hosted at the Yasmine Golf Club in Bir-Bou-Regba, Hammamet, a venue that operates dedicated padel courts alongside its 18-hole, par-72 course. But the 2026 edition expands the festival's footprint significantly.
La Presse de Tunisie reported that the programme will include a fan zone with live screenings of FIFA World Cup 2026 matches — the tournament runs concurrently across the United States, Canada and Mexico — alongside a game zone, a food village, and creative workshops covering acrylic painting, decoration and macramé.
The organisers said their aim is to establish PadelFest as a reference event combining sport, tourism and entertainment. The festival's positioning as a lifestyle destination, rather than a specialist sports fixture, reflects a broader push to attract the summer tourist audience that fills Hammamet's coastal resorts during July.
The first edition was held at the same venue from 12 to 20 July 2025, also over nine days, and targeted families, sports enthusiasts and tourists, with free entry and online registration for tournaments through the Spofun and PadUp platforms. No entry or registration details for the 2026 edition have yet been published.
Padel has grown steadily in Tunisia over recent years, with clubs operating in Tunis, Hammamet and other coastal towns. PadelFest is the country's most prominent annual event dedicated to the sport.
PadelFest 2026 runs from Friday 11 July to Sunday 19 July at Golf Yasmine, Bir-Bou-Regba, Hammamet. Further programme and registration information is expected to be published by the organisers in the coming days.
