Weather forecast for Friday 12 June: largely sunny with morning cloud in the north and west
Skies are expected to clear across most of Tunisia on Friday as morning cloud over the north and north-west gives way to sunshine, while the interior and south heat up with Tozeur forecast to reach around 36C.

Friday 12 June brings largely settled and sunny conditions across Tunisia, with morning cloud in the north and north-west thinning through the day and the south remaining hot and dry.
In Tunis, temperatures should reach around 28C in the early afternoon before easing to around 26C by early evening and around 22C by night. Cloud cover will be moderate through the morning — around 49 percent on average — but is expected to thin considerably by the afternoon and clear entirely by evening. North-westerly winds will remain light, peaking at around 19 kilometres per hour.
Along the east coast, Sousse is forecast to reach around 28C in the early afternoon under largely clear skies, with north-easterly winds staying gentle. Conditions there should be comfortable for most of the day.
The hottest conditions will be in the interior and south. Kairouan could reach around 32C by mid-afternoon, while Tozeur in the south-west is forecast to peak at around 36C around 16:00 under easterly winds of up to around 26 kilometres per hour, with temperatures remaining elevated at around 34C through the early evening.
Winds will be north-westerly in the north and centre, reaching up to around 26 kilometres per hour at Bizerte, and north-easterly along the southern coast. Conditions are generally moderate in the north and light to moderate elsewhere.
At sea, conditions in the Gulf of Hammamet are forecast to remain slight. The Gulf of Tunis and north coast should see moderate conditions, with wave heights of up to around 1.4 metres, so those heading out by boat in northern waters should take note.
