Clouds are expected to thicken over western parts of northern and central Tunisia on Wednesday afternoon, with local storms and rain possible before unsettled conditions reach parts of the east later in the day.

In Tunis, the day should remain warm and mostly dry, with temperatures expected to rise to around 34C in the early afternoon before falling gradually towards 30C by late afternoon and around 26C in the evening.
Coastal areas should be slightly cooler than the interior. Sousse is forecast to reach around 33C, with more cloud expected later in the afternoon and evening.
The hottest conditions are expected inland and in the south-west. Kairouan could reach around 39C in the early afternoon, while Tozeur may climb to around 40C to 41C before easing later in the day.
Clouds are expected to become denser over western parts of the north and centre during the afternoon, where local storm cells may form and bring short bursts of rain.
Those unsettled conditions could then move towards some eastern regions in the evening. Rainfall is expected to remain local rather than widespread, but drivers should watch for sudden showers where storms develop.
Winds will blow from the south in the north and centre, and from the east in the south. They are expected to be relatively strong in southern areas and light to moderate elsewhere.
Sea conditions are forecast to remain slight, which should keep conditions generally manageable along the coast.
